Is it neccesary to want to increase credit score?
August 11th, 2010
The credit score is one three digit number that so many people know
so much yet so little about. A lot of folks believe that they don’t have
a credit score since they either do not use credit cards or aren’t
owing money while others think credit scores are just another useless
statistic which doesn’t really matter.
In actual fact, as far as you pay bills or you have a bank account,
then automatically, you must have a credit score which is more relevant
to your life than you would wish. The credit score might go by any of a
wide variety of names such as FICO (Fair Isaac Corporation) score,
credit Rating, Credit Risk Rating, or Credit Risk Score and is usually
referred to whenever you apply for credit, a financially related job or
some kinds of apartment.
The credit score is a little summary of all your past credit,
financial responsibilities and payments so it gives anyone checking a
snapshot of your current financial state and past repayment habits so
they can quickly make a decision on you based on that number.
Your credit rating is really open source information which can be
obtained by anyone with a valid reason to know it and having a bad
credit score might prevent you from getting some jobs, apartments or
even good interest rates on loans.
Since your credit score is so important and available to people who
require it(at times lifechangers) it should be seen as an asset and it
is paramount that you make sure you improve your credit score at all
times by being prompt on card payments, avoiding unnecessary loans as
well as others. This is a topic on its own which would be treated in
another article.
